Directly next door to the Cornerhaus is Rehabd, a boutique store that is filled with everything from jewelry and cute tops, to home décor and kids’ toys. Walking in I immediately knew I would love everything in here, and surprise, surprise…I did!

From the aesthetic interior design, to the mixed textures of rustic farmhouse and chic fashion, owner, Amy Conover, has done an amazing job creating a very unexpected, but wonderful, place to shop in this small Iowa town. So much so, that I spent a good hour just walking around admiring the varying products on display.

Stylize yourself and your home

Choosing to support other small businesses from around the Midwest and beyond, Amy has purposefully selected numerous retail items to sell in her shop. Being a sucker for earrings, I got stuck admiring her wide collection, but knew I would have to Velcro myself away from her stylish supply if I was ever going to make it home on time.

I also got a kick out of her sock collection. I am actually in need to new socks, and I love that some of these “look” black but have comical sayings on them. I have to wear black socks at work, and this would allow me to feel like I’m breaking the rules just a tad, and no one would be the wiser if I never told them.

In addition, I found packs of incense sticks, key chains, and candles, and there’s a second floor! The upstairs loft is more like a kid’s corner with a collection of hair accessories. And back downstairs you’ll also find seasonal items to decorate your house, greeting cards and even little charms you can attach to your backpack or purse zippers.

Plan your visit

Overall, with Rehabd being only an hour away, I will definitely be making another trip there to check out her clothing options. Now that I have downsized and donated almost half of my old clothes I don’t wear anymore, my wardrobe is ready for a makeover.

However, if you are unable to take time and drive out to Holstein, be sure to head over to their website (https://shoprehabd.com/) where you can shop online and check out their new arrivals. Also, visit their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/rehabdboutique) to keep up to date with weekly events Amy has planned throughout the year.

And one last thing, when you’re there be sure to say “Hi” to her cute, well-mannered dog, Sadie. She welcomes all visitors to the shop and is one of the reasons I stayed longer than expected. In fact, she will help you shop and keep you motivated!
