The last place I stopped at during my trip to Holstein was Francis & Co., a children’s store full of toddler’s outfits and lots of toys for all their stages of growth. Coming from someone who does not have kids, I can tell you that I was very impressed with Kristina Cronin’s establishment.
Opening her doors in late 2022, Kristina decided to name her business after her 2-year-old son who also gave her inspiration to open a children’s clothing store when she was having to drive an hour, or shop online, just to dress her toddler and find him sensory toys that he would enjoy.
The world is a playground
Anyone who shops online can tell you how frustrating it is to not really know who you’re purchasing from, waiting a week (or more!) while it ships, and then hoping you’ll like it when it arrives. But Kristina has solved this issue in her small, but growing, town of Holstein, Iowa.
Wanting to fill a need and find a solution, Kristina has brought a bountiful array of products to curious shoppers. In her store, patrons will find children’s books, stuffed animals, wood toys, puzzles and rattles. I mean, I was quite impressed with the selection! I had no idea there could be this much to choose from. Personally, I don’t have little children, my step-kids are teenagers now, but I have friends and family who do, and you can rightfully guess where I’ll be shopping.
