When’s the next time I can post on February 29th? I don’t want to wait another four years, so I’m going to post a recap of the ten locations we looked at during our month-long journey to find wedding venues here in Sioux City.

1. Grandview park

At the cost of $400 you can rent the Rose Garden, and it’s bandshell from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. This price guarantees you the location only. Perfect for the florist in your family obsessed with plants and nature.

2. art center

For $200 an hour you can surround yourself with sculptures and paintings during your event. This price is for the location only. But for the art enthusiast you know you are, this is your chance to stand out from the rest!

3. country celebration

Cost to rent depends on the number of guests expected to attend and which caterer you choose. With the capability to sit up to 500, this is the largest indoor venue on my list! So, couples with large families, this is the best place for an extravagant rustic-themed wedding.

4. Bellevue ballroom

For four hours and $1000 you can rent the only ballroom on my list. Tables and chairs for 200 are also included in this price, with additional seating available at extra cost.

5. Hilton garden inn

The only venue on my list located on the Riverfront, your cost to book this venue depends on your guest list, and which food entrées you intend to cater for your event. Remember catering is provided by the neighboring restaurant, Crave.

6. the orpheum

Rent the entire Orpheum for only $2500! You can have the entire place to yourselves, and your guests all night long. Rental agreements also include tables, chairs, untensils, china, glassware, and linens. With an extra cost of $750 for a stage extension if needed for parties over 200. Events will be catered by Momo’s, so budget for your choice of entrées accordingly.

7. abu bekr shrine temple

Cost of rental depends on your decision to have your event in the Auditorium or the Mezzanine, both of which can accommodate up to 200 guests. Along with an Abu Bekr approved bartender for the night, you’ll need to factor in the cost of your caterer.

8. country club

The only golf course on my list, this venue offers four different rental options depending on the size of your event! Rental fees range from $100 to $1500 depending on the day of the week, and if it will be inside or outdoors.

9. conservatory of music

For the music lover in your family, this is an incredibly efficient and inexpensive location to rent. For $175, you get the conservatory to yourself for two hours, plus an additional $75 any additional hours afterwards. Plus, the owner of the conservatory will cater your event via her neighboring restaurant, the Blue Café, you’ll just need to select which entrées to choose from!

10. rollerama!

Last on our list, but maybe the most fun. Cost to rent will depend on if you plan to cover the skate rental fees for your attending guests, and if you want the on-site facility to make finger food and snacks for everyone, or if you plan to have your event catered.

support small business, and shop local

I had fun visiting all ten of these locations, and getting to know business owners and event planners. And I hope I’ve encouraged you to get out and visit unique destinations here in your own city. At each venue I toured, there was always someone excited to show me their rental sites. Local business owners are endlessly eager to discover new ways to partner with new clients, and especially willing to team up with community involvement activities.

If you are planning your wedding, there are many venue rental options all around town. These are just ten, but there are so many more. I encourage you to consider one of these locations to help get your creative juices flowing, but don’t stop there!

Have an idea for your wedding? Call around, and you’d be surprised at how many small business owners are more than willing to make time on their schedule to show you their establishment.

Happy Planning!
