First impressions
Walking in, I immediately noticed the framed profiles of the stunning and breathtaking Frida Kahlo. I was also consumed by the plethora of vases, cheerful colors, and table lamps. This is like Pier 1 Imports, but even better since it’s a locally owned small business.
Not expecting a chic and classy storefront like this to exist in small town Iowa, I was enthralled at all the hidden gems I was finding. Handcrafted wooden products, wicker chairs perfect for our front porch, and sculpted book ends, all enveloped by the bright sunlight beaming through the floor to ceiling windows.
Something for everyone
In an adjacent room there are hundreds of greeting cards and Willow Tree figurines. And the basement is split between garden ensembles and seasonal gifts. I found art for your privacy fence, wind chimes and garden gnomes, along with a wall of Christmas ornaments and vintage Santas.
With all of the adorable end tables, throw pillows and handmade knitted blankets, I may have to make a trip up to Le Mars to shop specifically at Joba’s. in addition, my husband and I plan on having a yard sale this Summer, which means “out with the old, in with the new”. Shopping extravaganza here I come!
